One site, one quality system

From prototype to serial production

Brüsch ApS offers a fully integrated precision manufacturing service, from prototype through to high-volume serial production, supported by a comprehensive quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.

All production processes are available across a single site in Rødovre, Denmark, with a dedicated quality department of four specialists, one QC Manager and three QC Specialists, overseeing measurement, documentation and process control.

Processes

Brüsch operates across five core manufacturing disciplines: CNC sliding head turning (Swiss-type machining), CNC multitasking turning, vertical milling, cylindrical grinding and honing. Surface treatment capabilities include electropolishing and glass blasting. A dedicated stent production facility operates separately on the same site for Nitinol and stainless-steel wire stent components. Full process details, machine specifications and tolerances are documented on the individual capability pages.

Tolerances

Standard production tolerances for sliding head turning are ±0.010 mm for large series, with ±0.005 mm achievable on smaller runs. Multitasking turning holds equivalent tolerances across diameters from 8–65 mm. Cylindrical grinding on the STUDER S31 achieves ±0.005 mm as standard, with surface finishes to Ra 0.01 µm and Rz 0.4 µm. Component diameter range across all processes runs from 0.4 mm to 65 mm, with lengths from 0.5 mm to 500 mm.

Batch sizes and lead times

Brüsch accepts both prototype and series production orders. The minimum order quantity for series production is 30 pieces, and prototype orders are welcomed as a route to qualification and series production. Highest single order volumes run to approximately 40,000–70,000 pieces; total annual volumes per part number are significantly higher across multiple delivery call-offs. First article lead time from initial enquiry is typically 2–4 weeks, and serial production can commence directly following first article approval. All delivery times are estimates only and shall be confirmed upon order acceptance.

Measurement and inspection

Brüsch operates two Zeiss CMM machines, a Zeiss O-Inspect and a Zeiss DuraMax, for dimensional verification of components across the full production range. Optical measurement is performed using a Tesa Cope 300u (MH3D) and an Insize ISP-Z3015 profile projector for 2D geometry and feature verification. Surface roughness is measured using a Mahr PS10 surface roughness tester. In-process measurement is performed at the machine during production runs, with post-process inspection carried out by the quality department before release. All components are subject to CMM measurement and inspection prior to shipment.

Documentation

Brüsch can provide a comprehensive documentation package on request or by standing agreement, including:

CoC Material Certificates FAI PPAP Measurement Reports Control Plans Process Flow Charts Cpk MSA / GR&R FMEA / PFMEA

Validated cleaning

Brüsch offers validated cleaning processes for precision components where controlled cleanliness is required. Cleaning can be integrated directly into the manufacturing flow prior to inspection, assembly and packaging, reducing handling and simplifying the customer supply chain.

Assembly

Brüsch offers partial and full assembly services in addition to individual component supply. Customers may choose to receive components individually, as a complete kit of parts for self-assembly, or as a fully assembled product, whether the end item comprises 2 or 30 individual parts.

Logistics and delivery

Brüsch ships directly to customer production lines and supports Kanban replenishment programmes, operated in line with the company's embedded LEAN principles and minimum viable stock philosophy. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery is made Ex Works (EXW) in accordance with Incoterms® 2020, as specified in the quotation. Risk transfers to the customer in accordance with the agreed Incoterm. Freight is handled through FedEx, De Danske Fragtmænd and TNT.
