Micro Precision Industries

Micro-precision components for industries where precision at micron level is critical, from minimally invasive surgical devices to satellite instrumentation, sensor technology and electrical connector systems.

Micron-level precision

Small-diameter components in stable, repeatable series

Brüsch produces micro-precision components for industries where precision at micron level is critical, including minimally invasive surgical devices, satellite instrumentation, sensor technology and electrical connector systems. The capability is enabled by CNC sliding head turning (Swiss-type machining), which is uniquely suited to the production of small-diameter, high-precision components in stable, repeatable series.

Among the smallest components produced in series are a 1.3 × 0.6 mm component in titanium Grade 5 for space application and a 0.76 × 11.3 mm component in CuZn39Pb3 brass, a plunger pin for electrical contact applications.

Materials and growth

A growing segment

Materials processed at micro scale include titanium, medical-grade stainless steel, brass and specialist alloys, selected to meet the specific mechanical and biocompatibility requirements of the end application.

While components under 30 mm represent the established core of production volume, the micro precision segment is actively growing as demand from MedTech and space customers for increasingly miniaturised components continues to rise.
